Soccer referee certification has two entry level ratings (grades) based on age and prior soccer knowledge. 

       Recreational (Grade 9) Referees

      Entry level Travel (Grade 8) Referees

  •  Be at least 11 years old
  • Have played soccer for 1-2 years*
  • Complete 10 hours of coursework and pass the 50 question certification exam
  • Cost $175 (includes uniform kit)
  • Prepares individual for officiating intramural soccer games up to CU15
  • Must recertify annually                    *advised but not mandatory
  •  Be at least 14 years old
  • Have played soccer for 3-5 years*
  • Complete 18 hours of coursework and pass the 100 question certification exam
  • Cost $210 (includes uniform kit)
  • Prepares individual for officiating travel soccer games up to CU11
  • Must recertify annually                           *advised but not mandatory

The grade 9 bridge to grade 8  course (cost $125) is good for those that have been refereeing for at least a year. 
The grade 8 course has 3hrs of on line modules that need to be watched several days prior to the class date.  You will need to print out and bring the module completions to the class.
